It's pot luck season! We've got a savory and delicious slow cooker roast recipe that's guaranteed to will win family and friends over this year. Serve with potatoes, rice, or vegetables and enjoy all winter long.

Ingredients:
- 2-3 pound chuck roast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of Cracker Boy Chili Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion chopped
- 2 pounds russet potatoes chopped and peeled
- 1 pound carrots chopped
- 2 gloves of garlic minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Directions:
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme and rosemary and rub into the roast on all sides.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the roast equally on each side (usually about 4 minutes per side)
- Add carrots, onion, garlic and potatoes into the slow cooker. Pour in beef broth, then set the browned chuck roast on top
- Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or on high for 5-6 hours.
- Move the meat and vegetables into a separate serving dish. Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl and then pour into the slow cooker. Whisk together. Cover and cook on high for 5 minutes.
